The Team Behind MyMealAid *
We formed MyMealAid because nutrition advice is easy to give, but hard to apply in everyday life.
Our team combines nutrition knowledge, lived experience, and early startup execution to make preventive health support more practical, culturally inclusive, and accessible.
Our long-term intentions include working with registered dietitians and healthcare providers to support their clients!

Why I Built MyMealAid
By Ayman Begum
When my family immigrated to Canada, my father was in his late forties. By the time he finally had access to a healthcare provider, his cholesterol levels had progressed to the point where he needed surgery near his heart. He hadn't had the guidance, the access, or the support to catch it earlier. I watched that as a child, and it stayed with me.
Years later, I found myself watching a close family member face the early warning signs of the same thing: high cholesterol, and risk factors for type two diabetes. But she was in a different position. She had time. She could prevent this.
The problem was, she didn't know where to start. And when I looked for something that could actually help her, something practical, culturally inclusive, accessible on the go, it didn't exist. She also couldn’t afford consistent professional support.
That gap is why we are building MyMealAid.
Because as a current food and nutrition student, preventive nutrition support shouldn't only be available to people who can afford a dietitian or navigate a system that wasn't built for them.
It should be practical, personalized, and accessible to everyone, wherever they are, whatever they eat, however they live.
